A man has been found guilty of culpable and reckless conduct after placing a baby in a tumble dryer before switching it on.
Thomas Dunn had denied two charges of assault which endangered the life of the 13-month-old at an address in Arbroath over a two-week period.
After just over an hour of deliberation after a five day trial at Dundee Sheriff Court, a jury unanimously found Dunn guilty of the reduced charge of culpable and reckless conduct.
They also found him guilty of assaulting the girl to her severe injury and the danger of her life on January 8, 2018.
At the close of the Crown case fiscal depute Nicola Gillespie withdrew an alleged third assault on the girl and a further charge of assaulting a young boy from birth to 33 months.
