Callous thieves have stolen a three-figure sum from a Perth church’s charity collection bowls.
Police have confirmed the theft took place between 3.45pm and 8pm on Saturday from St John’s Kirk in St John’s Place, Perth.
A police spokesperson said: “Two glass charity money collection bowls near the entrance to the church were broken into and the money stolen from them. It is not known how much money was in them at the time, but they were nearly full and would have contained well into three figures.
“We would like to ask anyone with any information which could help us – in particular if they saw anyone acting suspiciously within the vicinity of the church on Saturday afternoon or evening, to contact us on 101.”
