Christian Dailly’s son, Bobby, has become the FOURTH player from a famous Tayside footballing family to play for Dundee or Dundee United.
The young centre-back was a trialist in Gary Bowyer’s first game in charge of the Dark Blues at Peterhead on Saturday.
Dailly, who turns 18 on Monday, was released by Millwall in the summer and is being assessed with a view to signing him for the club’s development squad as opposed to the first team.

Christian was, of course, a Tannadice great who made his debut as a 16-year-old and famously hit the post before Craig Brewster scored the goal to secure a Scottish Cup triumph against Rangers from the rebound.
He went on to play for Blackburn Rovers, West Ham United and Rangers, and represented Scotland at the 1998 World Cup in France.

The Hampden Hall-of-Famer’s brother, Marcus, started out at Dundee, while Christian’s elder son, Harvey, was on United’s books, making three appearances under Ray McKinnon.
Bobby wasn’t the only Dundee trialist in Saturday’s friendly.
Ex-Bradford City and Carlisle United midfielder Danny Devine also played in the first half of the 4-0 win.
