RAB DOUGLAS: Far too early for Dundee United to hit panic button – and crazy Jack Ross resignation rumours don’t help

Dundee are in for a hard game on Friday, Ayr are very good at home.

They were the better team against us (Arbroath) in the first half on the opening day and it was level in the second.

They have a striker in Dipo Akinyemi who is scoring goals as well and will be high in confidence. It will be a tough game.

I don’t think Dundee will go down there thinking it’s a walk in the park.

Lee Bullen has recruited well and it’s definitely a different Ayr side from last season.

But if you look at Dundee’s squad and resources, you’d fancy them to be going there to get the three points.

Gary Bowyer is expected to win every game in the Championship but Friday will be a good test of character. The Honest Men are no pushovers either.
