A Fife firm has done its bit in the bid to stop the spread of coronavirus by donating its entire PPE stock to Glenrothes Hospital.
The Glenrothes-based Pitreavie Group, a packaging solutions company, donated all masks, face shields and goggles currently held in its Glenrothes site to the hospital.
All PPE donated meets the necessary requirements and regulations for staff to be able to use.
Pitreavie Group has also donated hand sanitiser to Cosgrove Care – a charity helping people to lead independent lives – after it launched an urgent appeal for PPE for its staff.
Stephen Heslop, managing director, said: “These are such challenging times for everyone, but the key workers going above and beyond to help others really need all the support we can give them.
“Donating this PPE and hand sanitiser seemed the least that we could do.”
